Hafan y Coed is a One Planet Development  established 7 years ago in West Wales under the Welsh Government OPD legislation.

It is an agro- ecological business located in this beautiful part of Pembrokeshire specialising in sculpting living trees into single pieces of furniture, producing edible, Food Forest and pollinator plants on a sustainable smallholding.

Plus food crops of Rhubarb, Asparagus and Strawberry.

The land was overgrazed pasture land which we are in the process of bringing back to life based on no dig regenerative permaculture principles, a dash of re-wilding and although we have only been here 7 full years, much is already changing and taking shape. Examples are; short rotation coppice, Pembrokeshire hedgebanks created, shelter belts,  vegetable area, poly tunnel erected, wetlands, ponds and swales created, coppice coups,  food forest planted, wildflower pollinator meadow to name just a few.

We welcome visitors and volunteers, please contact us for more information and opportunities. We also have monthly tours of Hafan y Coed from April through October Note that guided tour routes do include steep paths and areas of rough terrain - please contact us if you have specific mobility needs.  We will also be holding events, courses and workshops throughout the year and will post these on here and on our Facebook page. In time we will add a shop to this site for Hafan y Coed products, currently they are posted on our Facebook page and Etsy shop.
